The Basics

Michigan requires Medicaid insurers to cover Doula Support from pregnancy through 1 year postpartum – after a birth or a loss
These services include 12 total visits for prenatal and postpartum support and 1 visit for birth support (vaginal or cesarean)
Support for pregnancy, neonatal, and infant loss is included in this coverage and available for 12 months following your loss

Compassionate Birth & Postpartum Support

Medicaid covers both vaginal and cesarean births, as well as essential postpartum support. My role is to provide education, emotional support, comfort, and advocacy assistance throughout your experience–before, during, and after birth or after you have experienced a pregnancy, neonatal, or infant loss. Support can begin at any time, as long as you have visits left in your coverage. I tailor my support to you as I listen while you share your history, goals, and unique pregnancy journey – so you never feel rushed, dismissed, or alone.
