What has been keeping me busy?
So, I prefilmed this on Sunday and I didn’t think I’d have anything to add when I posted it today; but I do. When I talk about how I am doing – that was yesterday and today is today. I needed to hear my own encouragement. I went into this pandemic time with little to no emotional reserve. If you have been following me on Facebook or have seen me in the last year and a half, you know something terrible happened in September 2018. It nearly broke me and I was just beginning to feel like I could find my footing when COVID-19 reared it’s head here. Every day, I try to “choose joy”, I try to begin with a spiritually upbuilding reading and prayer. Today, the UIA knocked me down for the 3rd or 4th time and I’ve been struggling for the last few hours to right myself. So, for me, watching this video I pre-recorded yesterday is encouraging – and I don’t mean that in a self-centered way. It’s just that seeing myself smile and hearing the hope in my voice is reminding me that how I am feeling right now is temporary. We’ve all had our ups and downs, life is full of them. In the end, I am still doing something I love, something I am passionate about; and for that, I am grateful and can hope that in the end everything will be just fine.
